Solar only works in the sun, and I still need power when it’s raining.

Solar technology is versatile and can be utilized in various conditions, including rainy and stormy days. While solar panels perform optimally in cold and sunny climates due to reduced heat interference during sunlight-to-electricity conversion, battery storage serves as a clean-energy backup for nighttime use. Most homes with rooftop solar panels remain connected to the electric grid, ensuring uninterrupted power supply even if the solar system doesn’t fully meet electricity needs. Although direct sunlight is ideal for maximum energy production, solar panels still generate electricity on cloudy days by relying on diffuse sunlight that scatters through clouds

Solar panels aren’t efficient.

While solar panels have an efficiency rate of around 22.8%, they provide plenty of power to meet most homes’ needs. The sun produces an enormous amount of energy, and commercially available solar panels are cost-effective compared to grid electricity. Waiting for advancements may cause you to miss out on current solar incentives and tax credits

Solar is too expensive & require constant maintenance.

Fact: Although the up-front cost of a residential solar system can seem, there are financing options available. Consider the long-term savings on your electricity bills and the positive environmental impact. Solar panels are quite low maintenance. Occasional cleaning to remove dust or debris is usually sufficient. Most manufacturers offer warranties of 12-25 years, and panels can last even longer.

I can’t use solar if I don’t own my home.

Fact: Even renters can benefit from solar energy. Community solar programs allow you to subscribe to a shared solar project, and portable solar panels can be used without permanent installation

Solar Energy is a sustainable and renewable resource that continues to improve over time. If you’re considering solar, explore your options and consult with professionals to make an informed decision

Solar panels are very fragile & causes roof leaks.

Fact: While solar panels are designed to withstand various weather conditions, they are not as fragile as commonly believed. Most panels are made with tempered glass that can withstand hail, snow, and even small impacts. Regular maintenance and proper installation ensure their longevity. Properly installed solar panels do not cause roof leaks. In fact, they can protect your roof by providing an additional layer of insulation and shielding it from the elements. Professional installation ensures that panels are securely attached without compromising your roof’s integrity.
